Medium Business of the Year (50-249 Employees) Celebrating the contribution of medium businesses to Knowsley’s economy, the Judges are looking for businesses employing between 50-249 staff (that are not part of a larger organisation) that can demonstrate outstanding success and/or a positive impact the business has on the community. In shortlisting, judges will consider the evidence provided for the following:

Micro Business of the Year (1-9 Employees) Celebrating the contribution of micro businesses to Knowsley’s economy, the Judges are looking for sole traders, partnerships and businesses (that are not part of a larger organisation) that can demonstrate outstanding success and/or a positive impact the business has on the community. Innovation Award This award recognises a company or organisation that has introduced new ideas, revolutionary products, processes, or services, or introduced digital innovation into the business.  The pandemic forced changes in the way we do business and accelerated innovation which might otherwise have taken years; therefore, it will also recognise a company or organisation that remodelled its business and developed innovative solutions or

Community Award This award celebrates the outstanding local charities, organisations, groups, individuals and businesses who work tirelessly for the benefit of the local community. Often without reward, individuals and community groups work behind the scenes, changing places and changing lives. Knowsley want to shine the spotlight on their remarkable achievements. In shortlisting, judges will consider the evidence provided for the following:

Corporate Social Responsibility Award This award recognises companies and organisations that have made a positive impact on society through their innovative and sustainable CSR initiatives during the last 2 years, which is above and beyond normal operations and not part of the ‘day job’. Recognising that Knowsley is “Better Together” the award will recognise a business or organisation that has a stand-out CSR

Contractor of the Year Celebrating contractors based in Knowsley or those working on a Knowsley project who can demonstrate excellent performance in their field and added value to a project or development scheme. Judges will look for evidence of the contribution to the Knowsley £, quality of the people, processes and projects for which the contractor was responsible. They will seek examples of

Apprentice/Employee of the Year This award recognises an inspirational apprentice or employee.  An individual who has helped to shape and contribute to the success of a business or organisation, made outstanding progress to date and shows great potential for the future.
