This award recognises the vital role that Hospitality, Leisure and Retail businesses play in serving local communities and attracting visitors to the area. It celebrates excellence across the sector, including restaurants, cafés, leisure facilities, shops, visitor attractions, and similar businesses. We’re looking for an organisation that stands out for its exceptional service, innovation, and impact within its field.

In shortlisting, judges will consider the evidence provided for the following:

  • What makes the business a success and differentiates it from others

  • Outstanding customer service and/or visitor experience

  • Market awareness including the service and/or product offer and how the business retains and attracts customers and/or visitors

  • Involvement with your local community

  • Adaptability to change

  • Key achievements

  • Workforce development and training

  • Commitment to promoting and supporting employees from under-represented and minority backgrounds.
