Made in Knowsley

Formerly named Manufacturer of the Year, this award celebrates businesses that proudly manufacture, create, or assemble products in Knowsley, recognising excellence in manufacturing and its contribution to the borough’s economic success. Judges will be looking for businesses that demonstrate outstanding performance, innovation, investment in people, and a positive impact on the local community, all while championing the pride and quality associated with being ‘Made in Knowsley’.

In shortlisting, judges will consider the evidence provided for the following:

  • Manufacturing Excellence – operational performance, productivity, quality, and evidence of best practice.

  • Business Growth & Commercial Success – Revenue growth, increased production capacity, investment in facilities and equipment, new contracts won, export growth, and resilience in challenging market conditions.

  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement – Development of new products, processes, technologies, or ways of working that have led to enhanced competitiveness and productivity. Including the utilisation of robotics, automation and AI for process optimisation.
