We are delighted to announce this year’s sponsor of
Corporate Social Responsibility Award
JLR

JLR Halewood is proud to be part of Knowsley. The Merseyside operation of the UK’s largest car manufacturer sits on a 300-acre site in the borough, and the factory employs approximately 3,000 people directly, as well as supporting a further 1,000 people indirectly through suppliers and contractors.
JLR Halewood produces the award-winning Range Rover Evoque and Land Rover Discovery Sport, which includes plug-in and hybrid models. JLR has announced that £500 million is being invested in transforming Halewood into the EV (Electric Vehicle) factory of the future, reaffirming JLR’s commitment to the plant and the company’s global Reimagine strategy.
Electrification is central to the Reimagine strategy and Halewood has an exciting future producing ICE, PHEV and BEV models side-by-side before eventually becoming JLR’s first all-electric production facility.
As one of the largest employers in the county, the factory understands its wider commitment to the community and donates to local charities through the company’s Motorvate scheme. This has seen JLR donate six Discovery Sport vehicles to worthwhile local charities and in addition to this, many other charities across the region have also received donations, with the total amount of funding in past years reaching approximately £165,000.
