Supply Chain Business of the Year

This award celebrates Knowsley’s local supply chain businesses that do ‘all they can’ to support other local businesses in growing Knowsley’s economy.  Open to businesses of all sizes and all sectors that has demonstrated outstanding performance and going ‘above and beyond’ to support the local supply chain.  The winning company will exhibit excellence in areas such as sustainability, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and overall supply chain strategy.

In shortlisting, judges will consider the evidence provided for the following:

  • Evidence of the success of the business during the last year.

  • Building successful partnerships across the industry.

  • Evidence of the ‘customer experience and customer satisfaction’.

  • Promotion of the sector to encourage future entrants to the local supply chain.

  • Details of projects in Knowsley.

  • Reasons why this business stands out from the crowd.

  • Demonstrating social value, for example apprenticeships (created/sustained), supporting young people into work, use of local suppliers, use of local skills/labour, bringing other businesses into the supply chain, community engagement/involvement.

  • Demonstrating Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), for example the company’s impact on society, the environment (including net zero), and how transparent and accountable it is.
