It never ceases to amaze me, year on year, the sheer volume and range of business success stories coming out of Knowsley. This year’s awards once again reminded me what a great place Knowsley is to do business and makes me very proud to be part of this wonderful business community.

We were delighted to pick up the award for Manufacturer of the Year (SME). With such a high caliber of entries in the category it was a great achievement for the whole Olympic team. Since moving to Knowsley in 2014 we have heavily invested in our site, increased efficiency and developed new products. Knowsley is a great location for us and we are proud to sit alongside such a fabulous business base.
Waleed Ghani, Commercial Manager, Olympic Foods
We were highly impressed with the organisation and presentation of the Knowsley Business Awards and we were delighted and proud to scoop the award for Exporter of the Year (SME). We export our products all over the world and have been trading in Knowsley for over 42 years. It’s such a boost for the Minta Team to be recognised for our achievements and were impressed to hear about all the wonderful successes that Knowsley has achieved.
Bob Edwards, CEO Minta Group
The people of Kirkby are at the heart of what St. Modwen is working hard to achieve in the town centre and I’m delighted to be able to play my part in the regeneration of the area. I’m delighted to have received this recognition for the work we are doing at Kirkby Town Centre.
Mike Matthews, St Modwen's town centre manager for Kirkby
Mike totally understands Kirkby, what local people are looking for in a town centre and what makes a town centre extra special. The fantastic work that Mike is doing to attract old and new visitors to the town centre underpins St. Modwen’s wider vision for the redevelopment of the town centre. Local people speak for themselves and the feedback we have received has been fantastic.
Paul Batho, Projects Director for St. Modwen
