Contractor of the Year Award
Celebrating contractors based in Knowsley or those working on a Knowsley project who can demonstrate excellent performance in their field and added value to a project or development scheme. Judges will look for evidence of the contribution to the Knowsley £, quality of the people, processes and projects for which the contractor was responsible. They will seek examples of good supply chain management, local recruitment and skills development, promotion of the sector, as well as the safe delivery of projects within budget and on time. To be eligible for this award project must have been completed between January 2022 to July 2023.
In shortlisting, judges will consider the evidence provided for the following:
Evidence of the success of the business during the last year.
What were the local benefits maximised by this contractor? E.g. Contribution to the Knowsley £, supply chain, local labour.
Evidence of the ‘customer experience and customer satisfaction’.
Promotion of the sector to encourage future entrants to the construction trade.

Reasons why this contractor stands out from the crowd .
Demonstrating social value, for example apprenticeships (created/sustained), supporting young people into work, use of local suppliers, use of local skills/labour, bringing other businesses into the supply chain, community engagement/involvement.
Demonstrating Environment, Social and Governance (ESG), for example the company’s impact on society, the environment (including net zero), and how transparent and accountable it is.
